    Reduction of petroleum products and increasing environmental pollution has led to the use of biodegradable polymers. One of these polymers is lactic acid, linear aliphatic thermoplastic polyester. It can be achieved from renewable sources and the method of fermentation. Poly-lactic acid (PLA), which is important because it can be produced from agricultural waste as raw material and disappears spontaneously in nature (Eco-friendly). So PLA reduces energy requirements, costs and waste and increasing production efficiency. In this article we have tried to introduce poly-lactic acid and to be paid to other applications in tissue engineering. Today, much progress has been achieved to increase the efficiency of producing PLA, which factors affecting the production and destruction of PLA are expressed in following research.
