The aim of this study was to evaluate in vitro and in vivo effectiveness of Thymus vulgaris, Salvia mirzayanii, Artemisa persica, Rosmarinus officinalis essential oils and mancozeb fungicide against Aspergillus niger, which is one of the most important postharvest disease of mango. Results showed that Aspergillus niger growth was completely prevented at all concentrations of Thymus vulgaris and 1500 μl/l of Artemisa persica. Salvia mirzayanii at 1000 μl/l concentration showed the lowest effect compared with other essential oils under in vitro conditions. Results of in vivo studies showed that all treatments had significant effects in preventing fruits decay during storage. Rosemary essential oil at low concentration (500 μl/l), significantly reduced deterioration of mango fruits, followed by Artemisa persica.
